What’s a lifestyle family photoshoot like?
As you can tell from my website portfolio, I love to capture children and families in a very relaxed manner. I typically spend between an hour to an hour and a half shooting, no forced smiles-no overwrought posing , just very easy-going and stress-free for all involved.
Where will the shoot take place?
The shoot will take place in your home or at an outdoor location. If your home doesn’t get sufficient natural light, Toronto has some beautiful studio spaces that we can rent for the hour. Click here to see a sample studio session.
Because I work with natural light, at-home and studio sessions are scheduled in the mornings. Outdoor sessions are usually scheduled in the late afternoons – the light is beautiful about an hour and a half before sunset, but that can be “iffy” for little ones unless they are dependable nappers. Once you decide to book, we’ll discuss what location works best for your family and find a date.
When is the best age to have my baby photographed?
One of my favourite ages to photograph (besides for newborn, of course!) are “sitter sessions”. This is when your baby is around 6-9 months, can sit up unaided, but is not yet on the go. It’s the perfect time to capture your little one’s gummy smiles and adorable personality.
